Founder's Associate Intern

At Setter AI we build WhatsApp AI agents that qualify leads and book meetings for coaches, consultants and service businesses across the German-speaking market. So far, it's the two of us.

Until recently David was head of sales at one of the largest German-speaking digital service providers, where he closed several million euros.

Mark studied economics at LMU Munich and did his Master's in Management at the University of Cape Town and the LSE. Consulting at Roland Berger in between, then into startups at Mercura (YC W25).

As Founder's Associate Intern you are our first hire. Which means: no rigid tasks, no silos. You always work on whatever has the biggest impact right now.

And this is not a normal internship. You move into the villa with us in Cyprus. We work together, eat together (our cook does meal prep for everyone), go to the gym, play padel, run to the beach.

Above all: we work a lot. If you're looking for a 9-to-5, this isn't the place.

• Client onboarding and success: you build and iterate the AI agents for our customers
• Sales support: outreach, follow-ups, call prep
• Operations: setting up the processes we don't have yet
• Product: building on the product yourself with Claude Code
• Content, ads, and whatever else is on fire

You get ownership of your own areas from day one.

• You're driven to make things happen. You don't wait for tasks — you see what's slipping and you pick it up. Even when the day runs long
• You get up to speed on new things fast, without anyone holding your hand
• Some track record: startup, consulting, your own company, your own project – anything where you've already got something off the ground yourself
• Fluent German (most of our customers are in the DACH region), solid English
• You're someone people want to live under one roof with for three months

• Real, hands-on experience: you help build a startup from the ground up – from the first customers to the first processes to the product itself
• Direct access to both founders – you're in every meeting and you see every number
• A room in the villa, food, everything covered
• A network and a skillset you won't get in a typical internship

8 weeks minimum, 3 months ideal. Onsite – but if you're somewhere else for a week or two in between, that's no problem.
